I just finished a few commisions for the band Fall of the Albatross in preparation for their new album 'Enormous Cloud' coming out later this year. These two pieces will be used for t-shirts, banners and other promotional materials and are designed to match elements from the album artwork.

 

Potentially more FOTA work to come soon, watch this space.

Another oldie. I originally uploaded this self portrait in 2007.

It was based on the work of Thomas Ott, one of my favourite illustrators to this day. I recommend looking at his stuff.

I have a feeling that this may have been a first year piece which would make it about 5+ years old. I cant remember completely though.

Anyway, I just had a little meander around my hard drive, found it, and in the spirit of 'doing my blog properly', I thought I would post it.

I think the project was simply called 'Florists'.

As I havn't done my blog for a while, I thought I would start with something from my 2013 folder. I have quite a few things so show that I have been holding back until the time is right.

The picture below is the visual I made for a sleeve I was recently commissioned to design.

Below you can see the progress so far. It will take a few sittings, but as you can see, most of the linework is already completed.

I will post updates as and when they come through.

Need to finish another commision for Fall of the Albatross and then onto some work for Thomas Allen before I can start another self directed piece.

Busy times ahead, but I will have plenty to show for it.
